Amending Chapter 19-1300 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Real Estate Taxes,” to provide for a mechanism for informal review of individual property assessments, all under certain terms and conditions. THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 19 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 19. FINANCE, TAXES AND COLLECTIONS * * * CHAPTER 19-1300. REAL ESTATE TAXES * * * § 19-1310. Informal Assessment Review Homestead Exclusion. (1) For tax year 2025, the Office of Property Assessment shall provide a mechanism for informal review of any property assessment made on any property to determine whether adjustments should be made to such assessment, based on a mistake or other relevant consideration, and shall consider any evidence provided in connection with a request for such review up until November 18, 2024. * * * __________________________________ Explanation: Italics indicate new matter added.
