Amending Chapter 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Designation of Bicycle Lanes,” to authorize a bicycle lane on North 22nd Street, from Spring Garden Street to Green Street and remove a travel lane on North 22nd Street within the same limits, all under certain terms and conditions THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is amended to read as follows: TITLE 12. TRAFFIC CODE * * * CHAPTER 12-700. BICYCLE LANES * * * § 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes. * * * (2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations: * * * (*) North 22nd Street, from Spring Garden Street to Green Street: One bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits . * * * SECTION 2: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
