Recognizing March as National Nutrition Month in the City of Philadelphia to raise awareness of the importance of nutrition education and healthy eating habits, and to recognize the contributions of Vetri Community Partnership in promoting community health and wellness. WHEREAS, A nutritious and well-balanced diet plays a crucial role in the prevention of chronic diseases, including obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension, which disproportionately affect communities in Philadelphia; and WHEREAS, A ccess to healthy food and nutrition education programs is vital to improving the overall health outcomes and quality of life for all Philadelphians, especially children and families in underserved communities; and WHEREAS, O rganizations such as Vetri Community Partnership have been at the forefront of addressing nutrition insecurity for Philadelphia’s residents by providing programs and resources that inspire individuals to make nutritious choices; and WHEREAS, S chools, community centers, healthcare providers, and local businesses play a key role in promoting nutrition education and encouraging healthy lifestyles among residents of all ages; and WHEREAS, The City of Philadelphia is committed to supporting initiatives that enhance the well-being of its residents through policies and programs that promote a healthier community; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY PHILADELPHIA, Hereby recognizes March as National Nutrition Month in the City of Phil…
